Membership Information 2019

Happy New Year to everyone. It is hard to imagine that the election, over which we were so concerned, is now in the past. The results were all that we could have hoped for. At the last meeting of Council the By-laws to rezone and sell Don Maynard Park have been repealed. The new Council will, we are sure, continue to move forward in a positive, considerate and transparent way. They are slowly getting their feet wet and we have every confidence that the next four years will be much more pleasant.

Over the past three years PRATAC has contributed to bring to light many of the issues that were of concern to you and in many cases helping to resolve them. Your executive feels that we must all continue our vigilance on your behalf, monitoring Council and staff and serving on committees and boards that affect your everyday lives. The request for people to serve on some of the committees is now advertised again (the structure of some of them has changed) so please consider submitting your name. With things no longer so hectic we want to take time to improve our communication with our members.

Initially we want to make sure that we have the correct contact information for everyone.
Kevin Guerard and Ron Burgess have agreed to take on the roll of Membership Chairs.
Their plan is to address the correct email and property address issue. We will be sending out a quarterly newsletter starting in March by email and paper copy for those who don’t have email, so we need your mailing address.

If you wish to renew your 2019 memberships you can do so through the same to people. Memberships are $10.00 for the year, however this allows you only one vote per household. An individual $10.00 fee allows individual memberships and allows individual votes on membership issues.

Dues can be paid by the following options:

  • PayPal,
  • by cheque to PRATAC C/O P.O. Box 59, Almonte Ont. or
  • directly to Kevin’s office Freedom 55 Financial @ 56 Mill Street in Almonte (Monday to Thursday 9am – 3pm and Friday9am to 1pm) or
  • Ron Burgess in Pakenham @ 2109 County Road 29

We will be holding our Annual General Meeting on March 19, 2019 at the Almonte Civitan Hall, 500 Almonte Street at 7pm, please plan to attend this event. More details will be announced.

If you would like to get more involved with our organization. We have a few committees that we are in need of volunteers. The issues are now not as time consuming and you may even enjoy the camaraderie!
